Session #: 077-012
Presenter(s): Guy Johnson Session Length: 1:15 hr Event: NAIOP development '07 Conference Date: October 16-19, 2007
When Guy Johnson formed Johnson Capital he had one purpose - to provide an efficient platform for both clients and employees. In order to provide this platform, he knew he had to position Johnson Capital to be a market leader. What Guy learned was that to grow Johnson Capital, he had to expand into new markets while exercising strong discipline and business practices. Rigidity in business practices and nimbleness to adapt to new and expanding market segments has allowed Johnson Capital to grow debt-free to 20 offices, open an international group and several complimentary real estate finance companies. Part of Johnson Capital's success has been driven from Guy's ability to hire professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset and put them in an environment that allows them the chance to quickly address
the opportunities from new and emerging market segments. In this segment, Guy will discuss what it takes to identify new market opportunities and how to hire the right people.
