In the world of the green building, existing buildings are the "elephant in the room". While new buildings enjoy the spotlight, they represent only 2 percent of the entire building stock. If green building is truly to have a significant market and environmental impact, we must address the remaining 98 percent of existing building inventory. Hear real-world perspective of how Swinerton Builders converted 260 Townsend Street, their San Francisco headquarters building, into one of the first LEED Gold EB projects in the nation.
