A powerful means of extending learning for the academically able student is to wed middle school topics with high school standards. This session will incorporate strategies to provide students with increased opportunities for deeper study by using high school text, integration of advanced lab skills, increased opportunities for scientific writing, and a higher expectation to analyze relationships and trends in scientific data.
