In this interactive session, participants will understand what makes a good performance assessment prompt and how the supporting components of a standards-based performance assessment contribute to student and teacher learning. They will learn how performance assessments are developed, scored, and used as valid and reliable instruments and how one district is using its experience with the New Jersey Performance Assessment Alliance as a building block for its own assessment system.
