This session will look at the history of the development of Business Depot Ogden from an Army supply depot that closed in 1997, leaving more than six million square feet of vacant buildings, to a vibrant industrial park consisting of more than 100 companies and housing more than 7.5 million square feet of tenants. Some of the factors in this successful redevelopment that will be discussed include: Closure of the base and transfer of ownership from the Federal Government to Ogden City, the environmental cleanup of the site, infrastructure reinvestment, marketing an "old army base", build-to-suit opportunities and challenges to development.
