Did you know that sixty percent of all information gathered to the brain comes via the eyes? Surprisingly however, most therapies focus on ears and words. Yet words are often a poor means of soliciting the client's full engagement. Words recruit the auditory sense and the verbal centers, but neglect the other sensory systems - particularly the visual and kinesthetic. Studies of multiple intelligences and multisensory learning have shown that new insights, understandings and behaviors are acquired more rapidly when more of the senses participate in the process. Impact Therapy uses many different sensory techniques to trigger and recruit the client's powerful multisensory learning systems to promote the therapeutic process. In this workshop, participants will discover creative new tools and techniques to recruit the client's powerful multisensory learning systems to promote the therapeutic process.
