This presentation will describe the components of a professional development school (PDS) nested within the context of a full-service community school. It will highlight the symbiotic relationship between the college and the school and describe the benefits for children, preservice teachers, and veteran teachers. The presenter will demonstrate how the PDS—community school partnership enables teachers to realize the value of working collaboratively with community agencies and college faculty to support the intellectual, social, emotional, ethical, and physical growth of children.
