A common commitment to student success is essential to a district's mission. Participants in this session will learn how a large city district broke down barriers to change and embedded the best practices of professional learning communities (PLCs) in educators' individual work as well as in collaborative conversations across grade levels, departments, and schools. Both of these dynamic changes resulted in a more inclusive and coherent learning experience for all 2,500 middle school students in the district.
