Successful practitioners diagnose, prescribe a treatment, and teach well-being. Healers do more: they connect with the patients at the soul level, inspiring them to become the principal agents in their own healing. In discovering what moves our patients, only then can we hope to tell them our healing story in a way that touches them deeply enough so they want to change their behavior and create new endings to their old stories. Beyond dispassionate clinical observers, authentic healers participate in therapeutic events, incorporating into their science-based repertoire all that promotes loving, healing connections.
