Americans deeply value their freedom of choice, and we just assume that the more choice we have, the better off we are. But recent research presents a different scenario. While choice is valued, sometimes there's just too much of it, leading to paralysis, bad decisions, and even dissatisfaction with the "good" decisions we have made. "Too much choice" is further exacerbated when we seek the "best" in every decision. Explore the evidence that shows how choice-overload can be both overwhelming and debilitating, and how we can find solutions to help mitigate its ill-effects.
