The real estate industry had a history of rampant speculation, exploitation and disorder. The era of fraud, dual contracts, net listing and myriad other get rich quick schemes involved the sale of land. Ethics is defined as the name we give to our concern for good behavior. We feel an obligation to consider not only our own personal well-being, but also that of others and of human society as a whole. Ethics is not in conflict with capitalism, and profit is not a dirty word. This session discusses encouraging ethical behavior, avoiding conflicts of interest and fraud, supporting your community, and influencing legislation to protect private property rights.
